RJ + Bryce: Fort Worth Engagement

I got a DM earlier this year from Roxette a.k.a R.J. inquiring for wedding photography. The second I saw her gorgeous face & heard the name of their wedding venue I just about JUMPED at the chance to shoot this one! Little did I know the dope connection I’d get to witness between Bryce & Roxe— I mean R.J. Toward the end of our session on this hot June afternoon, somehow we stumbled upon the little fact that everyone calls her R.J. She goes by either name, but usually R.J. I almost felt like a 9 year old who has been calling her teacher Mrs. Collard for a couple of years only to learn her real name is Janet and its okay to call her Janet now. Ha! R.J…

They both communicated how awkward being in front of the camera can be and while I feel the exact same way, they sure could have fooled me. R.J. has such a confidence about her, such a fun personality & sassy side. She whipped her long dark locks back and forth as we busted out some Bruno Mars & got to shakin it. Bryce just stood there so calm, cool, and collected; cracking such a sweet grin at his bride to be. Total match. The jam to his bread. The cream to his coffee. Or, I’d say she’s the coffee to his cream. I seriously love to do engagement shoots with my couples because we get those “first date” like jitters out of the way, I get to see their natural couples dynamic & they get a feel for my shooting style and flow. We had fun guys. FUN. Bryce opened up slowly but surely as we snapped away for a few hours. I learned he’s a friggen sweet artist, hand sketching & shading with rich tones, gorgeous art work. He sketched a seriously cool design & lettering for their wedding favors…I was so impressed with his skill level & humble perspective. I am SO freakin excited for their wedding this October at The House of Dirt. I got to second shoot there last fall and have been DYING to go back. And now, having gotten to know this dynamic duo, their chill vibes & love of just a genuine good time with those they’re closest to, I am even more stoked. They just want an intimate party, a celebration & time to hang with those they love to celebrate THEIR love. And I mean, come on: LOOK at these two. Bryce’s stoic GQ look, smiling with the eyes, R.J.s stunning smile, gorgeous caramel skin & long dark hair. I can’t get enough.

Seriously great people inside and out, so sure of their love & truly best friends. It’s going to be so sweet to get to capture their wedding day & spend time with them as they become husband and wife. I’m so looking forward to it! Cheers guys…here’s to the future Mr. & Mrs. Warren…
